Hello!
Adam and I popped along to Paris last weekend as I decided to take him on a little trip away for his 22nd birthday. We both love food, and it was our aim to try as much as possible whilst we were in the capital (see Adam’s blog for more soon!). Despite all the horrible things that happened in Paris the week before, we were determined to not let it ruin our time away, and in all honesty, there was nothing to worry about. Apart from bag checks for everyone going in to shops, and a handful of officers standing near the Louvre, the atmosphere and general beauty of the city was untouched.
We stayed at the Mercure Monmatre Sacre Coeur hotel a walk away from the Place de Clichy Metro Station. At just over £80 for two nights, letting us check in early, getting a ‘Priviledge’ room on the top floor and allowing us to keep our bags there on our last day so we could continue our exploration of Paris, I can honestly say we hit the jackpot with this hotel.
It wasn’t too far to walk to reach the Galleries Lafayette, or the Louvre which was amazing. I loved the lights in the bathroom, and the hardness of the mattress (Adam wasn’t overly keen) as well as the beautiful view we got in our little window. The weather changed drastically as soon as we left the UK, but I think that happened generally across Europe… to say it was a bit nippy is an understatement!
I have SUCH a love for French architecture. It’s so beautiful – I could honestly just walk around staring at all of it, snapping away and what I love about Paris is that it’s literally e v e r y w h e r e. I vlogged our time away over on my channel, but here is the video:
Stay tuned for Part 2, plus outfit posts!
