Let’s chat about mini skirts and over the knee boots
A super simple look, with a super big impact…
OK, so the last in this little ‘Ways To Wear’ series – my favourite set of photos from this video I think!
I told you guys about my irrational worry over these shoes in the first of these posts last week, and the more I’ve shared the video to go with these, and the more I’ve had to edit these images, the more I’ve come to realise just how nice they actually are. I don’t often have full confidence in myself, but with these set of photos especially, I felt bloody great in this outfit and for once I don’t feel like I have to stifle that feeling.
ANYWAY, moving on from all the feels, I do love a little mini skirt and boots look. Generally in the past I’ve tended to lean more towards ankle boots for this type of outfit, and of course, that’s still a go-to style for me, but I’m LOVING matching my over the knee boots with mini skirts for a smarter evening look.
I got this vinyl skirt a little bit before Christmas, and initially, I was worried about how OUT there it was compared to a lot of the things in my wardrobe, but I LOVE it. I tend to go for a white t-shirt and my Vans if I want it to look a little more casj, and then this cute body from Topshop for dinner and drinks. I love the ribbed material and popper detail on the front, it’s so cute.
Obviously I couldn’t forget my lil baker boy hat, which my best friend Siân has just bought too and we both have dark hair and wear the same clothes, so that’ll be HILARIOUS when we meet up for our friend Amy’s hen do next month!
In other news, I took my nose piercing out yesterday and it’s already closed up, so that’s great (it’s fine really, I was so over it), and tomorrow I’m heading to a sleepover hosted by Benefit Cosmetics, which I am SO excited for! This is the first proper event I’ve gone to since Isla was born, can you believe that? I’m so ready to get back into it, ahhh.
