Hi guys,
Another installement and update of how I’m getting on with the course of Proactiv+ products that I’ve been using for a little over two months now! I won’t lie, it’s been a bit stressful because my skin’s not behaved itself, but my routine with using the products is now firmly cemented within my day and I feel REALLY weird when I’ve not used them!
I’ll go through the last few weeks, like I did in my last post, and then discuss a little bit more after that!
WEEK 5:
It’s Pancake Day this week, and yes I had a lot of Nutella. The very next day my skin broke out like no one’s business, so that’s great. My body seems to have a love/hate relationship with that stuff. My tastebuds love it, but my skin thinks it’s rotten. I do have to say though, it was worth it. So yeah, my skin looks awful. I’ve developed a cluster across the my cheek and on my chin too. I’m going to continue as usual and see what happens.
WEEK 6:
Period week. The days just keep giving, and for that reason I’ve had a hormonal breakout on top of last week’s Nutella spots, with a monumental cyst like pimple right in the middle of my forehead. It’s honestly like another head, and my skin is looking incredibly scarred from the old spots. I can’t say I’m enjoying this course this week and I’m feeling really low about the way my skin looks. I’ve said it loads of times, but whatever state your skin is in it’s 100x worse when you’re conscious of it. Luckily make up will cover it, but it’s never been this bad before so I’m hoping it clears up soon.
WEEK 7:
Still no shift in the spots. I’ve continued using these products and nothing is changing. I know this is that period that I was told would be the bump in the road, but it’s stressful. Part of me feels like giving up but I’m so stubborn, I want to see this through. I’ve now developed two whiteheads on the side of my lip, which I’ve never had before, but the toner is really helping with the scarring from the old spots. Not exactly helpful when I’ve got a wedding to go to next week.
WEEK 8:
I’ve eaten really bad this week but I’ve had no new spots, thank God. Every one from my forehead to the cluster and the chin spots and ones next to my lip is slowly but surely going down. I’ve been using the brush a little more frequently, particularly whilst in Chichester and that’s really been helping my skin. I’ve been drinking a bit more water but my diet still isn’t up to scratch. Regardless of that, I’m focussing on the fact that I feel like I’m coming out of this spot slump…
WEEK 9:
This whole week has been great. My skin looks so glowy, and I’ve not had any spots at all. I’m probably jinxing myself here, but it looks bright and my make up looks super even now that my skin is looking a little bit better. I’m being so regimental with this routine now and I feel like it’s finally working. I really hope it stays this way. I’ll keep you all updated… (And I’ll be sharing before/after photos soon too!)
CURRENT FAVOURITE PRODUCT:
I am LOVING the Retexturising Toner. My face feels so fresh and properly cleaned after using it, and it’s really aiding the uneven skin tone and scarring left over from the last few weeks.
The toner’s special ingredients:
Glycolic Acid – helps to exfoliate dead skin cells, helping to make skin feel smoother and look radiant.
Witch Hazel Water – helps to remove surface skin oils and impurities from pores.
Salicylic Acid – exfoliates the skin and decreases the appearances of pores by removing dirt.
Portulaca Oleracea Extract – an antioxidant that contains vitamins A and C for soothing, calming benefits for the skin.
I’ll be keeping you updated on how my skin does with the skincare over the next few months, so be sure to keep an eye out for more updates
This post is a sponsored post in collaboration with ProActiv+ but all views are my own – if my skin doesn’t enjoy this course then you’ll sure know about it!
