Hello!
Polo Neck Top – Primark | Printed Skirt – Missguided | Shoes – Topshop
All of the sorrys for not posting for the past couple of days. Isla has been so poorly with a horrible chesty cough so the blog had to take a back seat since she was struggling the settle like she normally would. Luckily she’s feeling a lot better so it’s given me a chance to rest my back (how old do I sound though!?), but unluckily, I’ve managed to catch the dreaded lurgy so I am all snot and swollen glands right now. I know, I know, sexy!
Onto the good stuff – I recently got this beautiful multi coloured skirt from the babes at Missguided and literally could not be happier with it. The material is lovely and thick and the actual length of the skirt is reasonable, which is great for me as I know get to wear it to work. The day I took these photographs, the air was pretty crisp, so I opted for tights and thought the polo neck would be a great addition to the outfit instead of the usual crop/cami. Don’t get me wrong, I think it would look fab with either, but as Autumn is well and truly here, I thought covering up would be the sensible option! My neck looks a little lost in the last image, so note to self, must lift head more, must lift head more!
Tomorrow it’s Halloween (YAY!), and Adam and I have taken the day off work to spend it with Isla. I’ve managed to work out how to see myself on my laptop as I film with my camera, so I’m totally ready to try videos again, as well as vlogging our weekend. We’ll be going swimming, hopefully, because Isla doesn’t get to go very often since I work, carving our three pumpkins and taking Isla to nursery for a couple of hours for Halloween play with the other children. She’s going as Minnie Mouse; not particularly scary but she had the costume anyway so why not?! We have so many Minnie headbands in our house as well that I think I might just join her!
ANYWAY, I digress… What do you think to the outfit? I know it’s very simple, but I’m much preferring not to overcomplicate outfits anymore!
PS. Be sure to keep an eye out for a new video on my Youtube channel in the next couple of days!
