MIDDLE OF THE WEEK EVERYONE. We’re on the hump, we can do this.
I was going to do the regular outfit post, and I really do love this one, but I thought I’d add a little new flavour to the mix, y’know – it’s really nothing special, haha!
THIS SKIRT. THE TOP. Ugh, I just love this outfit, it’s so simple, and the embroidery on the skirt just adds a completely new element to the look. Damn, I just love it.
The colours are so beautiful, and not overly wintery, which is great too so I’m going to be rinsing it throughout Spring. AND THE SOFTEST FAUX SUEDE. Guysssksfjkdfjd.
I’ve seen these style tops a lot on Pinterest recently, and they always look so, so stylish. I picked this one up from Primark (classic), for something ridiculous like £9? I wear a little white cami underneath so it’s not overly revealing, but the detailing on the arms is just great. Plus – the little flared sleeves are just the cutest aren’t they!? What a lovely, subtle feature.
It’s just the right amount of 70’s in one outfit; the classic suede skirt, flare sleeved top and little ankle boots. I wanted to finish the look off with something casual, a coat that could be used as a cover up for the cold as well as a duster, to complement the entire outfit – et voila, another absolute STEAL from Primark, a couple of years ago. I kid you not, this coat was something silly like £5 in their ‘sale’ – fantastic find.
For reference, again – I got a size 6 in this skirt and I’m 5ft4 and an 8 normally, and it fits like a little slinky glove, so it’s worth sizing down if you’re a little shorter like me.
What’s so great about an embroidered piece, is that it’s just so statement. Carried through from last year, it’s clearly going to be sticking around for a while longer than many people anticipated, so if I were you, I’d definitely get at least one major piece to add to your wardrobe – it will honestly change your outfit when you’ve got such a stand out item in a look!
